Every year, the Crested Butte Avalanche Center always hosts an Avalanche Awareness night. This is usually chock-full of various presentations that are related to snow safety. Being that it’s the beginning of the season, and the snowpack is touchy as it usually it, this is a great event for every backcountry user to attend.
